LoadingMarcus competed for eleven seasons before moving fully into coaching. He writes long off-season blocks and is the coach members go to when a lift has not moved in months.

Marcus came to Jersey City from Providence in 2012, the year he stopped competing and started coaching full time. Eleven seasons on stage taught him how much of bodybuilding is patience: he is unusually willing to spend four months building a base before touching intensity.
His members are split between people preparing for a stage and people who simply want to add twenty pounds of muscle in the next two years. Both get the same treatment — a written block, a logged top set every session, and a conversation about why the number moved or did not.
He holds an NSCA Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist credential and spends most of his own training on the platform deck at six in the morning.
